hi, i'm eli:
i am an early-stage venture investor, a bi-coastal traveler, and a sucker for the outdoors.

venture investing: most of my time is spent building fortify ventures fund ii, a $50m fund to invest in disruptive founders. fortify focuses on pre-series A companies in the human health, future-of-work, and infrastructure spaces. we write $100k to $2m checks, targeting 7% ownership. to learn more about our work at fortify, you can reach me here.

i'll occasionally write angel checks into early-stage companies through coral tree canyon. my checks are small, but i love to use my personal investments as a way to get operationally involved with promising companies outside fortify's scope. my goal is to help these founders turn their visions into ventures with hands-on operational support and high-level guidance.

writing: i've been enjoying publishing a newsletter called no nda required, where i bridge the gap that exists between emerging fund managers, open sourcing access to information, news, and events.

my past: i have had the pleasure of working at seaside ventures, soapy joe's, handle delivery, duffl, and telos capital management.

small talk cheat sheet: i spend most of my free time on my bike, tinkering with small electronics like arduinos, obsessing over biometric data, eating deliciously unhealthy food, chasing warm weather, surfing my beautiful 9'8 log, biohacking, and becoming a better yid.

biggest flex: my vo2 max is 59. i traveled to antarctica just to see penguins as a child. i can make a burger that'll give gordon ramsay a run for his money.

where to find me: i split my time between los angeles and new york. i'm a native angeleno, and quite honestly, there's no place like home. i make my way to the bay area, dc, and tlv fairly often, too.

contact: i'm really easy to reach. i'm pretty active on linkedin and x, but can also be reached via email and phone. if you want to see what i'm up to, follow me on instagram, beli, or strava.
